Stylish Fonts for 2021

It goes without saying that 2020 brought a lot of challenges and created a feeling of uncertainty about the future. It’s not surprising that, when it comes to typography, retro styles and nostalgic feels have become the popular choice.

With a rise in brands using bold, high-contrast serifs in their logos, decorative serifs are the new typography trend for 2021. Serifs are great for storytelling; they feel nostalgic and connect us to an earlier time before the digital world. This creates a deeply humanising effect for brands that use them. As a font nerd myself, I'm always on the look out so I’m sharing with you today a list of my current favourites!

01. Artemis

A contemporary and elegant display semi-serif typeface, with uppercase and lowercase characters of the same height.

02. Kassan

A modern, luxurious display serif font in two styles - embellished with alternates and ligatures.

03. Oakland

A modern, quirky and decorative display serif typeface packed with ligatures.

04. Silk

Silk Serif is a high-contrast typeface with thin, pointy, heavily bracketed serifs and ball terminals as well as bracketed junctions in various letterforms.

05. Acapulco

A contemporary, stylish and sophisticated display sans-serif font in two weights.
